James is Director of the Cultural Development Trust, working to use arts and culture as key drivers for a cultural shift in Southampton. Previously he has been deputy CEO at the Nuffield Southampton Theatres; General Manager at the Corn Exchange and New Greenham Arts in Newbury; Creative Producer for Parrabbola on Margate Hosts The Boat Project (Cultural Olympiad); and Director of Audiences South, the regional audience development agency. He studied Philosophy at the University of Southampton.
