Jeremy Peters

Jeremy Peters, BA FRSA FASC is a Lecturer in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Leadership at the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre and Dance. He is also Partner and Co-Founder of Quite Scientific Records, and recently ended a 14 year tenure as Director of Music Publishing at Ghostly International. As an educator and music industry professional, he has been asked to speak at numerous conferences, and has built out syllabi for three classes, one of which is a capstone practicum for the University of Michigan’s campus-wide Minor in Entrepreneurship.

He served as a member of the American Association of Independent Music’s Governmental Relations Committee, and previously was the Vice-President of the Board of Directors of a K-12 creative writing non-profit, as well as on the Board of Directors of the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and the Academy of St. Cecilia, and member of the Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education, Association for Arts Administration Education, Americans for the Arts, Society for American Music, and the US Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He also maintains an active performance schedule as a vocalist and trombonist (classical and popular).
