Marcus Willcocks Design Against Crime Research Centre, Central Saint Martins

Marcus Willcocks, Senior Research Fellow with the Design Against Crime Research Centre at the University of the Arts London, specialises in social, spatial and co-design practices. He has delivered research and publications through initiatives in the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA, and has 20 years’ experience applying design-led practice to the development of sociable and safe cities. He has delivered award-winning projects across the terrains of: sociable safe places; creative wellbeing and urban play; community-led design; spatial engagement and urban mobility. Marcus has been a visiting scholar with RCA (London), Elisava (Barcelona), IED (Barcelona) and Western Sydney University (Sydney), and is also a UK Design Council Cabe Built Environment Expert (BEE).
