Insurgency & Smuggling: the Contradictory Dynamics of Cultural Innovation
Working at the new interfaces between Universities and Creative & Cultural Industries forces us to develop new tactics, new relationships and new ways of working. We are both smugglers and insurgents, secreting new ways of spending money inside our respective systems and arguing for culture change for our organisations and with our partners. Driven by our collaborative instincts to make research, development and production the heart of our respective practices, we often find common ground despite the corporatising of the contemporary university rather than its commitment to creativity.
