Sophie Bishop PhD candidate | University of East London

Sophie Bishop is a final year PhD Student and Associate Lecturer in the Department of Arts, Technology and Innovation at the University of East London. Her PhD research looks at the political economy of vlogging on YouTube in the UK, including the relationship between social media platforms and UK Creative industries policy. Her work has been published in peer reviewed journals including Feminist Media Studies and Convergence. She runs a regular critical comedy night at the Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol, called Show and Tell.
